The Cosmopolitan Restaurant in the Heart of Old Town San Diego
Steeped in History. Served with Care.
The Cosmopolitan Restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily from 11 am and Saturday and Sunday brunch(menu) from 10 am. Our menu reflects the many cultures that influenced Old Town’s culinary development — Mexican favorites, American grill and fresh seafood.
At the Cosmopolitan Restaurant, every dish is prepared when ordered, with house-made sauces, fresh vegetables and the finest meat and seafood — all artfully presented to give you a delicious and wholesome meal, to savor in a heartwarming environment, steeped in history and America’s finest traditions.
We change our full menu throughout the year, maintaining our customers’ favorites while adding dishes prepared with local ingredients that are at their peak. Our children’s menu appeals to even the most demanding palate.
Comfortable dining areas include our heated Orchard Terrace surrounded by fruit and olive trees, fresh herbs, grape vines and wisteria. Inside, the Grand Sala provides a more formal setting, complete with 1870s decor. Private dining rooms are also available, including the Bandini Room, showcasing the original Mexican adobe walls.
The acclaimed Cygnet Theater performs next door in a reconstructed historic building within Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Pre- and post- theater dining options are available.
Reservations are not required but are recommended for parties of 10 or more.
