Historic Hotel in Old Town San Diego, CA
Sleep in Comfort. Wake up in History.
If you enjoy the beauty of vintage antique furnishings and true old-fashioned personal service, then Old Town San Diego’s Cosmopolitan Hotel is the place you’ll want to be.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel sits atop the former home of San Diego pioneer Juan Bandini. Constructed in 1827, the original adobe home is the second-oldest building in Old Town and one of the oldest in San Diego County. We offer a unique bed and breakfast experience with our Victorian-style bedrooms and baths, private dining rooms and historic saloon. Each of our rooms is elegantly appointed with American-made antique furnishings from the 1860s and 1870s. And with just ten rooms, our staff pays attention to your every personal need.
For breakfast, enjoy hot coffee or tea and home-made pastries in our saloon – bursting with décor from the Old West.
To ensure your visit is truly authentic, our rooms do not have televisions or telephones, however, they are equipped with WiFi. The original windows, circa 1869 when the second-story was added, are not dual-paned so please make use of the ear plugs you will find in your room if you are a light sleeper.
Registered hotel guests also enjoy a reserved parking area for the duration of their stay.
Free Wine & Dine gift package on check-in when you book through our website.
